Evelyn “Lene” Alleman, 73, of Papaikou died March 2, 2013, at home. Born July 10, 1939, in Pepeekeo, she retired from the Department of Education as a secretary at Pahoa High School and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Catholic Church in Papaikou and the Sacred Heart Society.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 13 at Immaculate Heart of Catholic Church in Papaikou for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial is at Mauna Kea Memorial Park on Kaieie Homestead Road in Papaikou. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by son, Jeffery (Jason Wicker) Alleman of Las Vegas; mother, Cecelia Luiz of Papaikou; sister, Janet (Albert) Araujo of Papaikou; brother, Leonard (Debra) Luiz of Papaikou; two grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
